Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026. This policy covers how Pensionplanner.ie collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Who we are

Pensionplanner.ie is an independent Irish pension information website. Our contact email is hello@pensionplanner.ie. We are the data controller for any personal data you provide through this site.

What data we collect and why

Advisor enquiry form

If you submit the advisor enquiry form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the details of your pension query. We use this information to introduce you to a Central Bank regulated advisor who can help with your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent (given when you submit the form).

We retain enquiry data for 12 months, then delete it unless you have asked to be kept on our mailing list.

Analytics (Matomo)

We use Matomo for website analytics — page views, referral sources, rough geographic data (country/county level, not precise location). Matomo is self-hosted on Irish infrastructure; your data does not leave Ireland or go to third-party advertising platforms. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.

You can opt out of Matomo tracking at any time using the opt-out below:

Cookies

We set a first-party Matomo analytics cookie. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising cookies. See our cookie policy for the full list.

Who we share your data with

If you submit an advisor enquiry, we share your contact details and query summary with the advisor(s) we introduce you to. Those advisors are Central Bank regulated firms with their own GDPR obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties or share it with advertisers.

Your GDPR rights

Under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@pensionplanner.ie. We will respond within one month.

Complaints

If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (DPC), the Irish supervisory authority for data protection.
